South Berwick Origin-Destination Survey
KACTS funded a study in 2003 to determine traffic patterns that contribute to congestion in the downtown area of South Berwick. The study was employed to help resolve the town's questions and speculation about prevailing traffic movements passing through the downtown. The study is based on a license plate matching survey. Results of the study were presented to the South Berwick Transportation Committee at their meeting on April 7, 2004. This study includes recommendations brought to the South Berwick Transportation Committee.

Route 236 Land Use and Transportation Study
As a result of a 1997 joint summer meeting between Eliot, Kittery and South Berwick on Route 236, the towns requested that KACTS staff employ a Route 236 land use analysis in its 1998 work plan. KACTS developed a study based on an analysis of past growth patterns and applied future growth scenarios to a Route 236 study area. This study includes maps, findings and recommendations.

Weigh Station Diversion Study
In 1996, KACTS conducted a freight study of the region, during which the Committee looked at major freight facilities and movements within and around the KACTS area. Of particular concern to the KACTS Committee was the perceived diversion of truck traffic from Interstate 95 and U.S. Route 1 when truck weigh stations were open on these roadways. The study documents vehicle classification movements in the area.
